1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

 

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Romans 12:2

 

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

 

Matthew 6:27

 

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

 

Job 21:5-6

 

Look at me and be appalled; clap your hand over your mouth.  When I think about this, I am terrified; trembling seizes my body.

Isaiah 44:19-20

 

No one stops to think, no one has the knowledge or understanding to say,

“Half of it I used for fuel; I even baked bread over its coals, I roasted meat and I ate. Shall I make a detestable thing from what is left? Shall I bow down to a block of wood?” Such a person feeds on ashes; a deluded heart misleads him; he cannot save himself, or say, “Is not this thing in my right hand a lie?”

 

Psalms 63:6-8
